GREATLIFE HISTORY

The Corporation was established in 1985 and operated under the holding company name of J.J. & J., Inc. until the first quarter of 2007, at which time a new logo and name were created and the Corporation began doing business as GreatLife Golf & Fitness.

Lake Perry Country Club, located in Ozawkie, Kansas, was our first 18-hole golf course.   J.J. & J., Inc. entered into a long-term lease agreement with the home association in 1985 to maintain and operate this golf course that is located in the Lake Ridge Estates Subdivision.

Prairie View Country Club was acquired in 1990. Prairie View is located in Southwest Topeka and offers an 18-hole golf course with beautiful greens and a challenging course layout.

Berkshire Country Club is also located in Southwest Topeka and was purchased in 1995. Significant improvements have been made to this course, which include:  re-routing several portions of the creek that runs through the course, laying significant amounts of sod and building a state-of-the-art fitness center in the spring of 2007.

In the spring of 2003, the company expanded to the Kansas City, Missouri area with its acquisition of a 9-hole executive course. The existing clubhouse was remodeled to include the addition of a 7,000 square foot fitness facility and tanning beds, making Maple Creek the company’s first golf and fitness facility. In addition, Maple Creek offers 36 holes of miniature golf.

In the fall of 2003, the Topeka Sod Farm was established in conjunction with Bob Shirley Farms of Grantville, Kansas. Thirty acres of seed were planted. The Topeka Sod Farm has experienced significant growth. In 2008, the sod farm harvested over 400 acres of sod.

In the spring of 2005, River Oaks was purchased. River Oaks is located in Grandview, Missouri and offers 18 holes of golf along with a fully equipped fitness center in the upper level of the clubhouse.

In the spring of 2006, LPCC Fitness 24/7 was added to our list of locations in Meriden, Kansas near the Lake Perry Country Club. This location allows us to offer fitness to those members who live in and around the Meriden community.

Chisholm Trail was acquired in the spring of 2007 and is located in Abilene, Kansas. After acquiring the course, the clubhouse was relocated and a fully-equipped fitness center was added.

Western Hills was acquired in the winter of 2008 and is located in Topeka, Kansas. The fitness center has been completed, and improvements are continuing to be made to the course.
